About Dodecave
Name a word (calm, courage, home) and Dodecave answers with sound, light, and motion. Each word draws a repeatable chord from twelve tones and becomes a field you can see, hear, explore, and return to. The same word always returns to the same field.

Why Dodecave began
Dodecave began with a personal question: what changes when we experience something directly instead of only being told about it?
That question led to another possibility: that what quietly holds us may sometimes be less like a wall and more like a tone repeated until we no longer notice it.
If the chains are made of sound, so is the key.
Dodecave is a humble exploration of that idea. It offers figures, not diagnoses; experiences, not beliefs. Name a word, enter its field, and decide for yourself what you find there, if anything.

Creating a field is what we call Co-Create: the whole instrument in a single gesture. The guided journey is open to everyone, and it closes with the Shield, sound gathered and held until it settles. The Shield is our name for that closing movement, a contemplative ritual made of sound, not a claim of protection of any kind. Always optional, and always yours to leave.
How a word becomes a field
Everything here is drawn from twelve tones, a small and complete palette. Each word draws its own chord from these twelve, which is why a word's field is always, unmistakably, itself. A word is resolved through the twelve the same way each time, so you can return to it and find it waiting.
The field is finite, and growing. A word enters the lexicon only when it resolves coherently through Dodecave's twelve-tone system. Words that do not are left unassigned rather than forced into the field. Name one the field does not hold and it will say so plainly rather than improvise something.
The care taken with the words
The lexicon is not automatic. It grows slowly, a word at a time, and every candidate earns its place twice over. First it has to resolve coherently through the twelve; many never do, and those are set aside rather than forced into something they are not. Then it is weighed by hand: does it carry harm, does it cost anyone their dignity, does it tip into compulsion rather than depth? Words that fail are set aside for deeper review before any final decision. The reason is plain: we take attention seriously, and you deserve to find what you seek without distraction.
The four visual depths
In Co-Create, a word's chord can be seen at four depths, each a fuller dimension of the same sound. Touch to move between them. Below is courage at each, exactly as the field renders it:

Dodecave's essential experience stays open without an account: the free word library on your device, the visual modes, Stillness, and the standard guided journey. That free library is deliberately rich, more than two hundred words, and it is enough on its own to experience everything essential about Dodecave. Membership opens more, but it never gates the core.
Membership supports the continued creation of Dodecave. Every membership includes the same capabilities (there are no feature tiers and no add-ons), and what it opens keeps growing:
- New words as they arrive. The library keeps expanding, and each new word is yours the day it lands.
- Deeper guided journeys and new member ways to listen.
- The Composer, part of membership. Blend two to five words you carry into one ascending field, a journey you move through, keep in your history, and share by a link, made the same consistent way as every word here.
- The Generator, coming to membership. Name any word, not only the curated library (your own name, a word in your language, a phrase that matters to you), and it becomes its own field of sound and light.
What differs between memberships is who it is for: an individual membership, an Echo household membership for up to six people, and Practitioner and Teams memberships for those who share the field in their work. New capabilities are included automatically while your membership is active, and membership never removes access to the free experience.
Privacy, and responsible claims
Dodecave is digital generative art created on your device. It is not physical cymatics, a scientific measurement, sacred geometry, or a medical or therapeutic treatment. It makes no frequency-healing claim, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
Your microphone, when enabled, is processed on your device and is never recorded and never transmitted by Dodecave. By default nothing about you is collected: no account, no profile, no history of what you have named. The app connects only to dodecave.com, with no third-party trackers or requests, and a Privacy Receipt in your profile shows exactly what, if anything, ever leaves your device. The full statement of what it is, and isn't
A Dodecave image and sound are original works, made on your own device. Anonymous analytics stay off unless you switch them on, and a diagnostic report is only ever sent if you choose to send one.
It is generative art and a quiet practice. It is not physical cymatics (there is no water, no sand, no vibrating plate; it is a digital render), not sacred geometry or a "toroidal energy field," and not a harmonograph or Lissajous figure; any resemblance is coincidental. Dodecave™ is a trademark, and every image and sound is © Dodecave. If you arrived from a saved image or a screenshot, this is its home and only authoritative source.
Dodecave is not dodecane. Dodecane is an unrelated chemical compound; if a search brought you here looking for the app, you are in the right place.
The standard behind that restraint
We will not say Dodecave does anything to you unless it has been tested the honest way: measured against a control, with the question fixed in advance, by a method built so that "no effect" is a legitimate answer. Should we ever run such a test, we will publish what it found, including the times it finds nothing. A null is a real result, not one to bury. Until then the standard is met the plainest way there is: we make no claim about what it does to you.
How to listen, and where else the field sings
Some Dodecave compositions include tones as low as 36 Hz. Phone and laptop speakers may reproduce these frequencies weakly or with distortion. For a fuller experience, use comfortable headphones or capable external speakers, always at the lowest comfortable volume.
